ELSO is committed to the education of its members and patient families, as well as the general health community. In addition to the education and training provided at conferences, the various committees in ELSO have been charged with developing and maintaining training manuals, parent handbooks, recommended guidelines for performance of extracorporeal support, and textbooks covering the broad area of management of patients with severe cardiac and respiratory failure.
